I’m Renée L. McKenna, the artist behind Renée, Illustrated.  With a background in fashion design and a lifelong love of art, I bring together my knowledge of clothing, color, silhouette, and trend with my passion for expressive illustration.

After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology and working in New York’s fashion industry as a women’s apparel designer, I developed a trained eye for the details that make a look unforgettable—the movement of a silhouette, the drama of a sleeve, the perfect pop of color, and, of course, the attitude that brings it all together.

My love of illustration began with a fascination for fashion photography, runway collections, and the timeless imagery of Vogue editorials. Today, those influences inspire my original  illustrations, where fashion becomes a little more expressive, a little more playful, and always a little more fabulous.

My signature style combines fluid line-work, expressive movement, and unexpected pops of color, blending traditional and digital mediums to create artwork with personality. From the delicate nuance of pencil and the bold gesture of ink to the sweeping brushstrokes of watercolor and acrylic, I love letting each medium bring something different to the story.

Whether I'm illustrating a fashion look, capturing a bride's gown, creating a keepsake, or sketching live at an event, my goal is simple:

to turn beautiful moments into art worth remembering.
